Vexed Rugby Questions A SPECIAL MEETING? Requisition Signed Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, July 14. A requisition calling for a special meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union Council has been forwarded to Wellington by the Wanganui Rugby Union. The requisition is signed by the Wanganui, Otago, Southland, Manawhenua, Nelson, Canterbury and Taranaki Unions, and the meeting will be called to discuss the interpretation of the replacement of Injured players “rule."

In the constitution of the N.Z.R.U. it is stated: “A special general meeting of the council shall be called by the secretary upon instructions from the management committee, or upon receipt of a requisition setting forth the object of such meeting signed by the secretaries of not less than onefifth of the affiliated unions.” There are twenty-six unions affiliated to the N.Z.R.U., and the requisition has been signed by seven.
