YESTERDAY’S WEATHER

A cold north-west wind ’was blowing in Wellington yesterday. The sky was mostly overcast and light rain fell late in the afternoon. . A freshening north-east wind was blowing at Auckland and continuous rain fell last evening. The conditions were threatening. The sky was cloudless at Christchurch, with a light north-east breeze and a shade temperature of 51 degrees. Following a clear cold night ard the heaviest frost this winter the weather was beautifully fine at Dunedin, the sun shining from a cloudless sky. There was practically no wind.
