AUSTRALIAN TRADE Union Cargo Service The following are. ths movements of Union Company vessels in ita intercolonial cargo service :— The Gabriella was to have left Greymouth on Saturday for Newcastle to load for Miramar. The Kaimiro was to have left Greymouth on Saturday for Lyttelton and Auckland, thence to Newcastle to load for New Plymouth and Wellington. The Kairanga, at present laid up at Auckland, is to leave there to-morrow for Melbourne. , , The Kalingo is to leave Greymouth early this week for Sydney and Newcastle, thence to Coil’s Harbour and Newcastle to load for Auckland, Wellington and Miramar. The Karetu, from Auckland, is due at Newcastle to-morrow. She will load there, and complete at Sydney, clearing that port next Friday for Fiji, Nukualofa and Auckland. , The Kiwitea is to leave Edithburg early this week for Adelaide and Melbourne to complete loading for Auckland and Wellington. _ The Waikouaiti, from Bluff, was due at Sydney yesterday, thence to Newcastle to load for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton and Oamaru. The Wainui, from Wellington, via Bluff, was due at Melbourne yesterday She will leave there again on Wedmsday for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton and Wellington, and is due here on July 7. OTAIO FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. The Federal Company advises that the motor-ship Otaio, which is scheduled to leave Liverpool on October 8 for Auckland, Wellington,' Lyttelton and Dunedin, will now discharge also at New Plymouth. KENT REPORTS. The Federal Company has received a wireless message from the Kent, en route from Glasgow in ballast, reporting that she expects to reach Port Chalmers on the afternoon of July 4 to commence her Homeward loading. She will later comlete at Oamaru, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Wellington and Lyttelton. She is due here on July 20, and is scheduled to clear Lyttelton finally on, July 23 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow. AUCKLAND SERVICE. The Wingatui, from Auckland, is due at Wellington this morning, and will berth at the Taranaki. Street Wharf. She is to 'leave here again later to-day fbr Lyttelton and Dunedin, returning via ports to Wellington and Auckland. The Waimarino, from Dunedin, via ports, is due at Wellington on Friday and goes on to Auckland. The Waipiata is to leave Auckland about Thursday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff.

THE NARBADA. The Union Company’s chartered steamer Narbada, is due at Singapore to-day with coat from Newcastle. She will later proceed to Calcutta, where she will take the July-August loading for New Zealand. The Narbada will clear Calcutta early in August for Penang, Singapore, and Samarang to complete loading for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, and Bluff. TAINUI COMPLETING. The Shaw-Savill liner Tainui is to leave Lyttelton to-day for Wellington, and is due here to-morrow morning to complete her Homeward loading. She is scheduled to clear this port finally at daybreak next Friday for Southampton and London via the Panama Canal and Kingston. THE CANADIAN CONQUEROR. The Canadian National steamer Canadian Conqueror was scheduled to clear Montreal on Saturday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about August 6. CAMBRIDGE FROM LIVERPOOL. The Federal steamer Cambridge was scheduled to clear Liverpool on Saturday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Port Chalmers. She is due at Auckland about August 2. THE WAIRUNA. The Union Company’s Wairuna was to have left Suva yesterday with a cargo of raw sugar for Vancouver. She will then load at Pacific Coast ports during the first half of August for Papeete, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia. The Wairuna is scheduled to clear Los Angeles on August 15, and is due at Auckland on September 9. AORANGI AT AUCKLAND. The Union Company’s motor-liner Abrangi, from Sydney, is due at Auckland this morning. She will leave there again at 11 a.m. to-morrow for Suva, Honolulu, and Vancouver, where she is due on July 14. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain E. Haines has resumed command of the Otokia, and his deck officers are:—Acting chief, Mr. L. Gillau; second, Mr. S. O. Angus; third, Mr. H. H, Pike. . , , Mr. W. E. Jones, late chief officer of the Otokia, is on holiday in Wellington.' Mr. J. A. Pearson is now chief officer of the Poolta, relieving Mr. P. E. Ryan, who has come ashore for orders. ASHBURTON DELAYED. The A. and A. Line chartered motorship Ashburton has been delayed by engine trouble at Dunedin and is now to leave there to-day for New Plymouth to continue discharge of her cargo from New York and Gulf of Mexico ports. She will later proceed to Australia to complete discharge. PORT FREMANTLE DELAYED. The O. and. D. Line advises that its motor-ship Port Fremantle has been delayed by rain at Picton and will now leave there to-morrow for Wanganui and Wellington to continue her Homeward loading. She is now due here next Friday. ■ THE ZEALANDIC. • The Shaw, Savill motor-ship Zealandic is to leave Auckland to-day for Wellington, and is due here on Wednesday morning to complete discharge of her London cargo and to commence her Homeward -loading. She will later load at Lyttelton, Bluff, Gisborne and Auckland, and is scheduled to clear the northern port finally on July 18 for London via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. KARAMEA’S MOVEMENTS. The Shaw, Savill Company advises that its motor-ship Karamea was to have left Bluff on Saturday for Timaru, where she is due this morning, to continue her Homeward loading. She will later complete at Lyttelton, New Plymouth, Wanganui and Wellington, is due here on July 11, and is scheduled to clear this port finally on July 14 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. MAUNGANUI DUE 8 A.M. TO-DAY. The Union Company has received a wireless message from its R.M.S. Maunganui. en route from San Francisco to Wellington via Papeete and Rarotonga, reporting that she expects to arrive, in the stream at 8 o’clock this morning. She will berth about 9.30 a.m. at No. 2 Queen’s Wharf. The Maunganui will leave here again at 4 p.m. to-morrow for Sydney, where she is due next Saturday morning. LONDON’S SHIPPING. During the week ended May 6, 794 vessels. representing 799.938 net register tons, used the Port of London; 397 vessels (651,036 net /register tons) were to and from colonial and foreign ports, and 397 vessels (148,902 net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. Five vessels discharged meat cargoes in the Port of London during the week ended May s—two from Australia and New Zealand, the Port Hunter and Somerset, and three from South America, the Tuscan Star.
