TWO MORE FETHER-FLAKE TIPS.
Cheese straws: Scraps of FetherFlake rolled out thinly. Sprinkle a thick layer of grated cheese over. Season with cayenne pepper. Fold and roll out three times. Cut in small strips or straws. Bake in moderate oven 15 minutes. Pastry cream fingers: FetherFlake baked in small squares. Split and fill with a layer of raspberry jam and cream. Fether-Flake, only lOd per lb. Simply fold, roll, and bake for perfect results. Obtainable only from Adams Bruce shops and agents.—Advt.
The term “pulled figs” means figs pulled from the trees and sun-dried. Ordinary dried figs are those picked up from the ground at the foot of tile trees, and then dried. When picked up they are usually bruised arid gritty The difference in taste and quality is obvious. It is well to know that only the finest “pulled” figs are sold at the Sanitarium Shop, 81-83 yvillis Street. Wellington.
