ROAD CYCLING RACE
To-morrow’s Big Event HANDICAPS DECLARED Two open amateur road cycling events —one a senior 25-mile race and the other an 8-njile race for juniors—will be held at Petone to-morrow by the Port Nicholson Amateur Road Cycling Club. No other clubs will hold races, and members of all three will take part in the events at Petone. It will be the first occasion upon which members of the three clubs have all ridden together in force. On the scratch mark will be such firstclass riders as C. Ericsson, F. Blackett, R. Ulmer, L. Roberts, and T. Roe, as well as P. N. Robinson, who holds fastest time honours for the Palmerston 1 North-Wellington ride. Other leading and consistent riders, such as E. R. Poulton and G. Puniti, will also Compete in the senior event. The course will run from thj Pctone Rowing Club's shed; up Cuba Street, across tho Lower Hutt bridge, and out to Quinn’s Post. The return journey will be made along the main road, past the Lower Hutt Railway Station, and down to the Petone Esplanade.
