NEWTOWN BOWLING CLUB
Review of Year’s Activities The annual report of the Newtown Bowling Club expresses regret at the deaths of two members, Messrs. F. Hunt and .1. Rigg. The position of the club had been affected by the economic conditions, says the report, and the membership has fallen to 78, five new members having joined and 15 resigned. The club’s revenue had fallen by £B4, and . care would be necessary in expenditure in the coming year. The report covers the centre and club events, and says that the question of establishing a fund to enable bowling representatives from New Zealand to take part in the British Empire Gaines and similar events will be brought up at the annual meeting of members. Mr. J. M. Porter has been nominated as president for the coining year.
