Cloncurry Bank Robberies (Ree. June 14, 8.10 p.m.) - Brisbane, June 14. Additional details of the bank robberies at Cloncurry reported yesterday reveal that the managers of both branches were away for the week-end. though their custom is to sleep on the premises. The duplicate keys were obtained from secret hiding-places. 'l'he burglars cut telegraph wires. It is believed that they escaped in a car or aeroplane. Burglars entered the Cloncurry branches of the Queensland National Bank and of the Bank of New South Wales during the week-end. They stole 14.299 banknotes, of which 10,162 were taken from the Queensland National Bank.
