What Auckland Has Done LOW RETAINING FEES Councillor W. Duncan has received a communication from the town clerk of Auckland explaining the method on which that city is conducting its organ recitals.

“I have to inform you,” said the town clerk, “that the council recently appointed three honorary organists at a retaining fee of £5/5/- each per annum.
