Iron, steel, concrete and other materials which are constantly being used to a point, just below their limit, of endurance are said to become so much stronger that the original limit increases. Two women friends, Janina Burakowska ami Miehalina Ozgowa, fought a pistol duel for the latter's husband at Zagorzya, Central Poland. The wife was shot dead. Her rival has been arrested. At one time, the ace of spades in every pack of cards was printed at Somerset House to ensure the duty being paid. The card was then returned to the makers to be incorporated in the pack.
