Burns, Philp and Co., Ltd., have received advice that the O. and O. Line steamer Golden Eagle has replaced the Golden Cross, and is scheduled to leave Los Angeles on August 1 for Auckland, Wellington and Australia. She is due at Auckland on August 27. Cabled advice has been received that the Huddart-Parker steamer Zealandia reached Sydney at 5.30 a.m. yesterday from Wellington. The Government motor-ship Maui Pomare is due at Wellington this morning from Lyttelton, and will berth at the Taranaki Street Wharf to discharge fruit from Apia and Niue Island. PASSENGERS ON LARGS BAY.
