Ministerial. The Hon. R. Masters, Minister of Education, will return to Wellington this morning after making an official visit to the Auckland and Waihi districts.

The Hon. C. E. Macmillan, Minister of Agriculture, will return to Wellington from the north to-day. The Hom J. A. Young, Minister of Health, opened the Hospital Boards Conference in Wellington yesterday.

Canon Percival James, of St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, Is visiting Auckland. Mr. L. Cheriton, manager of the Milford Track, is on a business visit to Wellington. The Right Hom. Sir Michael Myers, Chief Justice, returned to Wellington last evening from Napier. Mr. P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, has returned to Wellington from Auckland.

Sir James Gunson, chairman of the New Zealand Railways Board, left for the north by the Limited express last evening. Mr. F. W. Furkert, Chief Engineer. Public Works Department, left for the north last evening by the Limited express.

Sir Henry Buekleton, general manager, Bank of New Zealand, arrived from Auckland yesterday by the Limited express.. Mr. E. A. Sevier, general manager of the Vacuum Oil Company for New Zealand, returned to Wellington yesterday morning from the South Island. The Right Rev. J. M. Liston. Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, returned from the South Island yesterday morning. Sir William Hunt, managing-director of Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., left for the north by the Limited express on Wednesday evening.

Sir. S. W. Richardson, who was for many years on the staff of the Lands and' Survey Department in Hokitika and in Christchurch, has retired from the service.

Archbishop Averill, of Auckland, arrived in Wellington yesterday to take part in the deputation to the Government on the problem of boy unemployment.
