Wellington Tram Returns The revenue per car mile for the Wellington tramways during 1931-32 was 22.03 d, as compared with 23.57 d per car mile for the previous year, a de-crease-of 1.84 d per car mile. On the other side of the ledger the working expenses per car mile - worked out at 15.95 d, as compared with 17.77 d during the preceding year, a decrease of 1.82 d per car mile. During 1931-32. the Wellington trams carried 38,301,000 passengers, as compared with 44,286,000 during the previous year, a falling away of 5,985,000 passengers. The car miles run during the past year were 4,130,000, as compared with 4,395,000 during 1930-31, a decrease of 265,000 car miles.
