COPTIC LEAVES LAS PALMAS. The Shaw, Savill motor-ship Optic, which left Lyttelton on March 14 for Southampton and London. via Cape Horn and Las Palmas, is reported to have left Las Palmas last Wednesday.

The New Zealand Shipping Company yesterday received a further wireless message from its motor-liner Rangitata, en route from London to Wellington, via Bermuda, Kingston, and the Panama Canal, reporting that she now expects to arrive in the stream at 9 o’clock this morning. She will berth about 11 a.m. at the Pipitea Wharf to land her passengers and mails and to commence discharge of her London cargo. She will later proceed to Auckland to complete discharge and to commence her Homeward loading. ASHBURTON LEAVES NEW YORK. The Federal Company, local agents for the A. and A. Line, have received cabled advice that the motor-ship Ashburton left New York on April 10 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin. New Plymouth, and Australia, via Gulf of Mexico ports. She is due at Auckland about May 25. MAUNGANUI LEAVES SYDNEY. Cabled advice has been received that the Union Company’s Maunganui left Sydney yesterday for Auckland and Wellington. She is due at Auckland on Tuesday. morning, at Wellington next Thursday morning, and will leave here again the following afternoon on the return trip to Sydney. MAIMOA SAILS. Having completed her Homeward loading the Shaw-Savill steamer Maimoa left Lyttelton yesterday for Dunkirk, London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow via the Panama Canal and Kingston. PORT WELLINGTON SAILS. Having completed her Homeward loading, the C. and D. Line steamer Port Wellington left Lyttelton yesterday morning for London via Cape Horn and Montevideo. HORORATA AT AUCKLAND. From Antwerp, via the Cape of Good Hope and Sydney, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Hororata reached Auckland ait 7.30 a.m. yesterday. She is to leave there again next Wednesday for New Plymouth to complete discharge of her cargo of basic slag, and to commence her Homeward loading. NIAGARA LEAVES HONOLULU. The Union Company's liner Niagara, en route from Sydney and Auckland, was to have left Honolulu yesterday for Vancouver, where she is due on April 22. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain A. Reed has resumed command of the Kairanga, relieving Captain F. L. G. Jaunay for further orders. Captain W. J. S. Eyre, of the Koranui, lyis been invalided ashore at Sydney, and Mr. E. A. Stein has taken temporary command of the vessel.
