POISON FOUND

Cause of Phar Lap’s Death San Francisco, April 13. Mr. W. W. Vincent, Chief Food and Drug Administrator of the United States Department of Agriculture, who made au examination, announces that poison commonly used as a tree spray was found to.be present in the organs of Phar Lap. The source of the poison has not been definitely established. Mr. Vincent said it resembled that used in tree spray, and might hare come from grass coated with spray used on the oak trees on Menlo Park Ranch, where Phar Lap died.
