SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY

A particularly pleasant concert was presented at the Sailors’ Friend Society on Tuesday night. The hostesses were Mrs. H. Dunn and Miss L. Thawley. The performers were Miss Thawley. who also acted as accompanist; Messrs. 11. Dunn, Perry. Furr, Jackson, C. A. Wilson, McLennan, Chester, Patterson, Jamieson, and Master J. Bradley. Mr. J. Moore, missioner. spoke on “Facts are Stubborn Things.” Light, refreshments were thoughtfully provided by the hostesses. Competitions, for which the prizes were donated by Mrs. Bunn, were among the most popular featuies ot the evening. They were won by men from ships in port.
