“POPPY DAY”
Allotment of Stands “Poppy Day” will be held in Wellington ou Friday, April 22. At a meeting of women, helpers on Tuesday evening, the following allotment of street stands was made: —Bowen Street, Mrs. Bramely and helpers; W.F.C.A., Dlrs. Parnell and helpers; Kirkcaldie’s and D.1.C., St. John Ambulance Association: G.P.0., Dlrs. Dlurphy and helpers; Bank of New Zealand. Dlrs. Pow. Dlrs. Myers, and helpers; Y.W.C.A., Women's National Reserve; James Smith’s Corner, Red Cross Society; National Bank, Vivian Street, New Zealanders’ Association; Courtenay Place, South African Veterans, Dlrs. J. I. Goldsmith and helpers; Maritime Buildings, Dlrs. Carrol and helpers; Miramar, Dlrs. Tovey and helpers; Lyall Bay and Kilbirnie, Dlrs. Wilson-Grant and helpers; Hataitai, Mrs. McCrae and helpers; Island Bay, Dlrs. .1-1. Lyon aud helpers. Additional women workers are required, and any who arc willing to assist should communicate with the R.S.A. office.
