Issue Considered Success REPLY TO CRITICISM A London, April 7. Interviewed regarding the "Evening Standard's” criticism of the New Zealand loan. Sir Thomas Wilford said that the underwriting of the loan at 98J was a proof of London financial institutions’ ■ faith in New Zealand. Personally, he regarded the result as a success, because oyer 50 per cent, was taken b.v genuine investors. Referring to the suggestion that the wrong day was chosen, Sir Thomas declared that it was impossible to forecast the mood of the market, which changed hour b.v hour.
