ROEHAMPTON CUP
Professional Golf Contest London, April 7. The Roehampton Cup, the first professional golf contest this season, was played in a half gale of wind and saw E. Whltcombe, C. Whitcombe, Mitchell, Compston, Robson, Duncan, and Davies, all Ryder Cup players, eliminated. Perry, the young Lancashire professional, had brilliant rounds-of 70 and 72. A critic, referring to the elimination of the Ryder Cup players, says it was all due to'wasted approach putts.
