OBITUARY
Mr. John Wood The death has occurred of Mr. John Wood, aged 73, former manager of the Christchurch Tramways, and a former tuavor of Riccarton, states a Press Association telegram from Christchurch. Mr. E. C. Brown The death is reported of Mr. Ebenezer Charles Brown, aged S 3, formerly Christchurch manager of tiie D.1.C., states a Press Association telegram from Christchurch. He was a wellknown Methodist Church supporter. Mr. H. C. Hardinge The death occurred at his residence, Kuratawhiti Street, Greytown, on Thursday, of Mr. Henry Cecil Hardinge, at the age of 62 years, states a “Dominion" Special Service message from Masterton. Mr. Hardinge, who was born in Wanganui, was a retired Civil Servant. He had been connected with the Public Works Department for about 36 years. He was well-known in the Wairarapa, and in the early days had a strenuous time driving about in a buggy in all kinds of weather, to the various works in progress. He is survived by a widow and an adult family of two daughters and one son. The daughters are Mrs. Mae Lean, Wairoa, and Mrs. A. Everett, Tanranga. The son is Mr. H. Hardinge, clerk to the Featherston County Council.
