H.M.S. Diomede arrived at Sydney from New Zealand
Lady Chaytor's aeroplane, in which she is flying to Australia, hit a snowdrift in landing at Sofia aerodrome, and the propeller was smashed. The pilot, Richards, has gone to Belgrade to obtain a substitute.
The Budget proposals of the Premier of Newfoundland, Sir Richard Squires, caused a split iu the Government party. Three prominent members, including a Cabinet Minister, tendered their resignations on Friday. They were Mr. 11. M. Mosdell, who resigned the portfolio of Minister of Public Health last week. Mr. Phillip Fudge, and Captain John Parsons.
