CABLES AND WIRELESS
Position of Merger Companies London, March 13. The position of Imperial and International Communications, Ltd., and the Cables-Wireless Merger Company promises to develop into a city scandal. According to one commentator preference stock has fallen to £45, compared with last year’s high level of £7B, and the market value of the company’s securities has declined from a pifr value of £52,000,900 to £14,000,000. The “Economist”. declares that the stock holders ought immediately to be told the true position. The capitalisation was based on prices to which the constituent companies soared in 1029. This fantastic over-capitalisation should immediately be rectified.
