PARTY FOR BRIDE-ELECT

Kitchen Tea at Petone 1 < \ Miss Eason, of the Hutt, whose marriage takes place shortly, was recently the guest of honour at a kitchen tea given by Mrs. E. Brown, of Petone. The hostess was in a frock of lace. Miss Brown’s frock was of blue floral crepe de chine, while Miss Eason wore apricot floral georgette. The rooms were decorated with hydrangeas, and the tea table in the dining-room was gay with sweet peas. Miss Eason received a dainty posy of carnations and delphiniums from Mrs. Day. There were several competitions during the afternoon, and Mrs. Howat and Miss Brown sang. The bride-to-be was the recipient of many kitchen utensils, for which she thanked the donors, and suitably acknowledged the good wishes extended to her by Miss Brown on behalf of those present. ,
