PROFESSIONAL RUNNING

World Sprint Championship (By Radio per Mr. I. M. Levy.) At Melbourne on Saturday evening in the presence of 14,000 spectators the world professional sprint running championship was won by Tim Banner, of New South Wales, who was first in both the 130 yards and 220 yards. He was, however, just beaten in the 100 yards by Fred Ralph, of South Australia. The championship was awarded on points gained in the three races. The track was decidedly slow owing to a heavy dew, and no particularly fast times were put up?
