RTILLERY BIVOUAC

Batteries at Fort Dorset BIG GUN SHOOT HELD Despite bad weather, the annual bivouac of the 15th Coast Battery, which concluded at Fort Dorset on Saturday, was successful, a very fair standard of efficiency being attained. On Saturday the 15th competed with a team, consisting of three officers and 20 oilier ranks from the 13th at Auckland in a z shoot for the Hudson Cup. Starting at 6.45 in the morning, several series were fired from the 6in. guns, and considering that the strength of the crews was below normal, the shootwas good. About 100 rounds were used. The winning battery will be announced later. After lunch the Auckland men left to catch their train, and were enthusiastically farewelled by the 15th.

Captain .G. B. Parkinson was the R.N.Z.A. officer in charge o. the camp, with Captain R. S. Park, R.N.Z.A., as adjutant. Major Carty was in command of the 15th Battery, and had with him Lieutenants Williamson, Symington, Redmond, and Scotland. Lieut. Stevenson was in charge of the 13th Battery team, Lieuts. Holland and Tansley accompanying him.
