Christchurch Events KEEN COMPETITION By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, February 14. With riders present representing Australia, Otago, Wellington, and Canterbury, there was keen competition at the broadsiding meeting at Monica Park on Saturday. Falls were fairly frequent, and Frank Duckett, one of the Australians, received a fractured forearm, and Jack Oakley, of Ashburton, a severe shaking. Blacklock, the . Canterbury champion, scored four firsts and a second in five starts.
