MYSTERY SHOOTING
Man and Wife Found Dead (Rec. January 20, 11.15 p.m.). Melbourne, January 20. David McKenzie, aged 56, and his wife, Margaret, aged 53, were found dead in bed in a fashionable dwelling in Elwood. They were shot through the head. It is believed that the case is one of murder and suicide. A pistol, found at McKenzie’s side, had recently been bought by him. The couple were in good financial circumstances and were devoted to each other. The motive is a mystery.
