FRANCE’S CABINET
Another Formed by Laval NEW WAR MINISTER Premier at Foreign Office By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Rec. January 14, 8 p.m.) Paris, January 14. M. Laval, who resigned yesterday , announces that he has formed a Cabinet with. himself as Foreign Minister, and M. Tardieu, Minister of War. Though M. Briaiid, ex-Foreign Minister, is not included in the new Cabinet, he has been invited to give its members the benefit of his experience. The Ministry will meet on Tuesday. The refusal of M. Herriot,.leader of the Radical Socialists, to co-operate in the
forming of a united Government, so that France might present a solid front at the Lausanne Reparations Conference, was the cause of the former Laval Cabinet’s resignation. M. Tardieu, who has been given the War Office portfolio, was M. Laval’s predecessor as Premier. The Tardieu Cabinet fell after defeat on n domestic issue in June of last year. Recently M. Briand resigned his post as Foreign Minister because of ill-health.
