Seventy Years Old To-day.—The Wellington branch of the Bank of New Zealand celebrates its 70th birthday to-day. The picture shows the building which housed the bank when it was first opened for business in 1862. It is on the same site as the present large building—the junction of Lambton and Customhouse Quays.
