KARAMEA LEAVES BALBOA. The Shaw-Savill Company has received cabled advice that its motor-ship Karamea, en route from London, to Suva, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and Napier, left Balboa last Friday morning. She is due at Suva on ; January 12, and at Port Chalmers on January 19. MONOWAI’S TRANSHIPMENTS. The Union Company’s liner Monowai, which arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from Sydney, brought transhipments ex the Koranui, Sydney Maru, Tanda, Hobson’s Bay, Canberra, Kowama, Orungal, Nieuw Holland, Marella, Maloja, Bendigo, and Taiping. WAIKAWA AT SUVA. Cabled advice has been received by the Union Company that the Waikawa, from Auckland, reached Suva at 2 a.m. on Saturday. She is to leave there on January 3 for Vancouver, and will'load at Pacific Coast ports during the last week in January, and first half of February for Papeete, Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney, and probably for other New Zealand ports. She is scheduled to clear Los Angeles on February 12, and is due at Auckland on March 6. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain E. Wilson is in command of the Canadian National steamer Canadian Challenger, due at Wellington on Thursday from Montreal, via New Plymouth, and his officers are:—Chief officer, Mr. F. T. Williams; second, Mr. P. Spear; third. Mr. W. Hackney; chief engineer, Mr. E. Sutherland; second, Mr. W. Waldie; third, Mr. J. Palmer; fourth, Mr. A. Brodie; wireless operator, Mr. J. Thomlinson; chief steward, Mr. F. Ashton. ULIMAROA AT SYDNEY. Cabled advice has been received that the Huddart, Parker steamer Ulimaroa, which left Wellington at noon last Thursday, reached Sydney at 6.30 a.m. yesterday. She is to leave there again on Thursday for Auckland, where she is due next Monday morning. THE MATAKANA.. The Shaw. Savill Company advises that the Matakana is now due at Wellington next Sunday from Napier, to continue discharge of her cargo from Glasgow and Liverpool. She will later proceed to Lyttelton and Dunedin, to complete discharge. ' ‘ ' PORT HUNTER AT LONDON. The C. and D. Line steamer Port Huntter, which left Wellington on November 19, is reported to have reached London on Sunday. THE CUMBERLAND. The Federal steamer Cumberland is to leave Wellington to-day for Napier, Picton, Lyttelton, and Port Chalmers, to complete her homeward loading to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. She is scheduled to clear Port Chalmers finally on January 9 for London, via the Panama Canal. WAINUI AT BLUE. The Union Company’s Wainui. from Melbourne, reached Bluff yesterday. She was to have left there again last night for Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington, and is due here on Friday. MATAROA COMPLETING. The Shaw, Savill liner Mataroa is to leave Wellington to-day for Auckland, to complete her homeward loading. She is scheduled to clear the northern port finally on January 13 for Southampton and London. via the Panama Canal. KAIMIRO AT SYDNEY. Cabled advice has been received by the Union Company that the Kaimiro. from Greymouth, reached Sydney last Thursday { She is to leave there again to-mor-row for Melbourne, thence to Hobart and Melbourne, to load for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington. Picton. and Auckland. She is scheduled to clear Melbourne on January 13 THE SONOMA. The Matson Line steamer Sonoma, from Sydney and Auckland, is due at San Francisco to-morrow. She is to leave there again on January 7, and Los Angeles the following day for Honolulu, Pago Pago, Suva, Auckland, and Sydney, ■ and is due at Auckland on January 29. NORFOLK AT COLON. The Federal steamer Norfolk, en route from Falmouth to Wellington in ballast, is reported to have reached Colon last Friday. She is due at Wellington on January 18, to commence her homeward I loading.
