Sydney Suburbs Railway REPORTED ACCEPTANCE (Rec. December 13, 5.5 p.m.). Sydney’, December 13. The Sydney “Sun” says that the New South Wales Government has decided to enter into an agreement with Victorian Constructions Proprietary, Lim.ited, which is comprised of a group of wealthy Victorians, for the building of the Eastern Suburbs railway, regarding which there has been continuous agitation. The cost of the railway will be between £7,000,000 and £8,000,000. ’ It is understood that the contractors are finding tlie ready cash, which will be paid back, in bonds, subject to the Loan Council’s consent. The “Sun” adds that the New South Wales Government accepted this offer tenders, which is bound to cause criticism. The Eastern Suburbs railway will serve Bondi, Coogee and other popular coastal suburbs which are now reached by tram.
