Lord Bledisloe’s Condemnation Bv Telegraph.—Press Association. Stratford, December 12 Lord and Lady Bledisloe were entertained at a luncheon at Stratford yesterday, and given a civic reception. Later their Excellencies went' to Mount Egmont. In a speech at the civic reception his Excellency urged people to buy New Zealand goods where quality and prices were right, otherwise to buy British. He condemned land speculation and expressed the hope that after prosperity returned fiction would be taken to prevent undue profits being made by people not actually engaged iu winning wealth from the soil.
