The president and committee of the girls’ branch of the Navy League gave, a Christmas party to the patients and staff of the Red Cross Hospital in Hobson Street last week. Miss Julie Lancaster, Fitzgerald Avenue, Christchurch, arrived at Wellington on Saturday, en route to Sydney to stay with her aunt, Mrs. F. McLean. Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Guscott, Wellington, are the guests of Mrs. J. R. McKenzie, Roydon Lodge, Yaldhurst, Christchurch. , Mr. and Mrs. John P. Colwill, who have been on a year’s visit abroad; have returned to their home at Roseneath. Miss Eggers, Karaka Bay, ;is the guest of Mrs. W. L. Young, Wanganui, for a few days. Miss Eggers intends shortly to join the 'staff of the Alexandra Hospital, Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. R. Wood are Eltham visitors to Wellington.
