CORNWELL CUP TRIALS
Two Held at Petone Two trials to pick two boys to represent Wellington at the Cornwell Cup contest to be held in Wellington next February were held at Petone on Sunday. No boy sails in the same boat for two succeeding races, as is the case with the big contest itself, and boats are allocated by drawing. The first race was won by Shirley, sailed bv a Heretaunga crew, A. Gilligan and C. Hislop, with Nukumm, sailed by G. Rowntree and P. Edney, second. The second race was won by Waitui, sailed by Gilligan and Hosie, while Nukumai, sailed by Saunders and Julian, was second.
