The dangerous nature of the corner at the junction of Ellice and Brougham Streets was brought to the notice of the City Council recently by the Wellington Automobile Club, the executive of which received a letter last evening stating that the council could not pndertnke.tlie setting back of the corner. The chairman, Mr. A. E. Batt, said tlie council hoped to proceed before long with the more comprehensive scheme of running u road through from Tasman Street. He believed negotiations were proceeding and that it was only a question of time and it would be done.
