Glorious weather prevailed for the start of the return cricket match, New South .Wales v. South Africa. The wicket was easy. The visitors captured two wickets for 14 runs, but Bradman and McCabe then took a hand and raised the total to 102 in eighty minutes before McCabe was splendidly caught. Batting with his usual freedom, Bradman continued to give a delightful exhibition. He was particularly severe on McMillan. The scoring was fast, 150 taking 127 minutes, although five wickets bad fallen by this time. Bradman’s century occupied the same length of time. Oldfield played the captain’s part, staying with Bradman while 00 was added for the sixth wicket. The bowling was never really loose, but Bradman continued at a terrific pace with shots to all parts of the field, Ifls chanceless 210 taking only 284 minutes, He hit fifteen 4's. Hird and Hunt also batted well, and completed the recovery. ’ The teams were as follow:— . South Afrlca.-LCamoron.
