CHILDREN’S “BREAK-UP”

Fancy Costumes and Masks A gay liftle children’s, fancy dress “break-up” was held in the studio of Miss Nancy Babe, on Saturday evening. The children looked very dainty 'in their fancy dresses and masks. They thoroughly enjoyed many novel games and competitions. Prizes were donated by Master Philip Smallbone for the best fancy dresses, also the best dancers. The prizes for best dancers were won as follow: —Misses Audrey May and Nathalie Pollock, for their very effective tap dance, 1; Misses Mavis Dodds and Betty Besenthal, golliwog dance, 2. Other items were enthusiastically received, such as Dutch Dance, Irish Jig, Operatic Dance, Ballet Sur-Les-Pointes, and the second scene from the dancing play of “The Mermaid." Miss Babe and her partner danced a “Mickey and Minnie Mouse” dance very successfully. Among those -present were Misses Mona Charlesworth, Audrey May, Nathalie Pollock, Betty Rosenthal, Evelyn Bradnoek, Kathleen Bardebes, Mavis Dodds, Jean Sewell. Margaret and Liethe Steel, Noel and Valmai Paulin, Janet Bogle, Mary Eastwood, Denise and Diana Shaw. Louise Birch-Dick. Peggy Higgin, Daphne Sparks, Molly Demuth, Nancy Walls, Mary and Margaret Morgan; Masters Philip Smallbone. Tom Sewell, Hugh Janson, S. Walls, P. Pau. Miss Babe was assisted by Mrs. Pollock, Miss T. Rogers, Miss Johnson, and Mrs. Coles.
