HOTELS AT NAPIER
Question of Rebuilding MAY LOSE LICENSES By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, December 7. Mr. A. Mowlem, S.M., chairman of the Napier Licensing Committee, expressed dissatisfaction to-day with the progress of rehabilitation of Napier hotels destroyed by the earthquake and fire. “We seem to be up against an undamaged brick wall, as not one brick has been placed on another toward rebuilding the Masonic, the Criterion, the Provincial, and the Central hotels," he said. He adjourned the annual meeting till next quarter, when the committee will be faced with the possibility of refusing licenses for the hotels named if nothing has been done.
