WEDDINGS
Black—Plimmer Cabled advice has been received of the marriage on September 3, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. U.S.A., of Jean, daughter of Jlr. and Mrs. 11. Plimmer, 'Wellington, to Harry, son of Jlr. and Jlrs. E. F. Black, Durham Street, Christchurch. « « « Blanchard—Ryan The wedding was celebrated last month at (he Roman Catholic Church, Inglewood. of Catherine Lillian, only daughter of Jlr. and Jlrs. J. J. Ryan, Kaimata. to John Albert, cider son of Jlr. and Mrs. J. C. Blanchard. Sentry Hill. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty frock of shell pink georgette. An embroidered veil, which fell to form her train, was arranged with a coropet of pink orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of delicate pink flowers. Jliss Joan Franklyn, cousin of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, and wore an ankle-length model frock of green georgette and tulle, with pink felt hat. and carried a shower bouquet to tone. Jlr. Roy Blanchard, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Father Foley officiated. and Jliss K. Larmer played the organ music. After the ceremony a reception was held in the parish hall, where Mr. and Jlrs. Ryan entertained a large number of guests.
