From Calcutta, via Penang, Slnapore and Samarang, the Union Company’s Narbada reached Auckland yesterday morning. She is to leave there again on Monday for Wellington. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received cabled advice that its motor-liner Rangltata, which left Wellington on August 15 for Southampton and London, reached the Panama Cqpal on Thursday morning. RKSIUERA FURTHER DELAYED. The New Zealand Shipping Company yesterday received a further wireless message from its liner Remuera, en route from London and Southampton, reporting that she had been further delayed by heavy weather. She now expects to reach Auckland at midnight to-morrow, or more probably pt daylight on Sfonday. The vessel is due here about next Saturday to complete discharge of her London cargo and to commence her homeward loading. THE TONGARIRO. The Federal Company advises that the Tongariro is to leave Auckland next Wednesday for Napier and Wellington to continue discharge of her Liverpool cargo, and Is now due here on September 13. CORNWALL LEAVES BALBOA. The Federal Company has received cabled advice that the Cornwall, en route from Liverpool to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, cleared the Panama Canal last Tuesday. She Is due at Auckland on September 21 and here about five days later. MAUNGANUI LEAVES SYDNEY. Cabled advice has been received that the Union Company’s Maunganul left Sydney yesterday afternoon for Auckland and Wellington. She Is due at Auckland next Tuesday morning, here next Thursday, and will leave again the following day on the return trip to Sydney THE VENTURA. The Matson Line steamer Ventura, from Sydney and Auckland, via Suva, left Pago Pago on Thursday for Honolulu- and San Francisco. She is due at San Francisco on September 16. Aimers has joined the Wahine as chief engineer, relieving Mr. E. E. Low for holidays. Mr. E. A. Griffiths, chief engineer of the Waikawa, Is on holiday leave. Mr. A. A. Ewan is now chief engineer of the Walmarlno, relieving Mr. A. MacDonald for holidays. NEIV TEXAS OIL CHARTER. The motor-tanker Nina Borthen, built by Sir W. G. Armstrong, Whitworth, & Co., Newcastle, for account of Messrs. Harry Borthen & Co., Oslo, had a successful trial trip recently. The vessel., which is of about 8965 tons deadweight, on a draft of 25 feet 11 Inches, has the following dimensions:—39s feet by 54 feet 9 inches ■by 32 feet. The main machinery consists of a single-acting two-cycle six-cylinder Armstrong Sulzer motor, developing 3300 Lh.p. The auxiliary machinery Is driven by electricity. The vessel Is designed for a speed of approximately 11.2 knots. There is an excellent library of 304 volumes at the disposal of the crew.
