Mr. Deem, who is city engineer at Wanganui, left The Chateau with Messrs. D. MacPherson and J. Malcolm on Sunday morning and picked up the party of six led by Mr. Bell, which included Messrs. Flynn and MacDiarmid. With the latter he pushed through the bush to Mr. Cullen's home and gave the first tidings of the finding of the party.
