PLUNKET SOCIETY

Children’s Party at Karori A successful children’s party was held yesterday in the parish hall at Karori, in aid of the Blunket Society. About 200 children wore present. _ 'The chief attractions were the prizes given for the best headdress representing birds or flowers, and an interesting talk, illustrated, by lantern slides, on the. native birds of New Zealand, given by Mr. J. C. Andersen. Tea was provided bj' the members of the committee and their friends. At the close of the morning service at St. James, Wanganui East, on Sunday. the junior choir presented Miss Kathleen Stuart King with a memento before her departure for Masterton. Miss King has acted as aceompaniste to the choir for nearly two years.
