Bible in Schools
Sir, The Rev. E. O. Blamircs must surely consider the general public simpletons if he expects them to believe that the passing of the Religious Instruction Enabling Bill will leave the question of grants to Catholic schools just where it is at present. Will he —frankly and candidlv —suggest that (if the Bill passes) the claims of the Catholics do not become, on moral and equitable as well as on uolitical grounds, irresistible? —I am, etc., pontic ANXIOUS INQUIRER. Wellington, August 27.
