HEAVY FARM LOSSES

Flood Areas in Australia PEAK LEVEL NOW PASSED Adelaide,- August 30. The bank of the Murray broke at Mypolonga on Saturday, and another large area was inundated. The State Governor visited the flooded areas, when grave allegations against irrigation officials were made by settlers. To-day it was reported that the floods in the area are believed to have passed their peak. The flooded settlements affected comprise 117 dairy farms. A conservative estimate of the losses places the total at more than £250,000, as each farm’s earning power has decreased by at least £2OOO.
