YESTERDAY’S WEATHER
Fine, But Rain in Morning The weather in Wellington yesterday was .variable- Raih fell- early in the morning, but the rest of the day was fine. The wind was from the south. A light south-west wind and fine weather prevailed at Auckland, but the sky was cloudy and threatening at intervals. In Christchurch the weather was bright and sunny, but a cold south-wester was blowing and the thermometer did not rise above 50 degrees. The barometer had no movement, being steady at 29.96. The weather at Dunedin was pleasantly fine and springlike, with a light breeze from the south-west.
