HOME SCIENCE

S. A. Rhodes Fellowship OTAGO STUDENT CHOSEN The Sarah Ann Rhodes Fellowship was awarded to Miss Violet A. Macmillan, of Otago University, by the Victoria College Council last evening. The fellowship provides for one year’s travel in the United States and Europe. Scientific research work is not required of the student selected, but observation of home science work in rural districts has to be undertaken. Miss Macmillan has been doing similar work in Otago, and after completing the work required abroad by the fellowship, she will probably be offered a lecturing position in New Zealand.
