EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
Civil Servants’ Assistance The Public Service Association’s bal-ance-sheet discloses a grant of £lOO to the earthquake relief funds. In addition, says the annual report, a sum of £5OO has been allocated from the association’s reserve funds to meet in small part the needs of individual Public Servants who suffered loss. The association has endeavoured, without success, to prevail upon the Government to set aside a similar amount from the sums contributed to the relief fund by 1 association members, and also to provide for departments to recompense individuals for losses incurred on Government premises.
