Alleged Strike of Mir.ers By Telegraph — 1 ’cess Assoei.-ime Greymoutli, August 4. One hundred and lifty-one miners, members of the Grey Valley Union, were proceeded against to-day by the Labour Department on charges of taking part in an alleged strike on June 17 at Wallsend. Proceedings taken previously acainst the union were dismissed, and the Department now charges the men individually. The trouble arose over the employment in a mine of a surveyor who had also worked in the Briandale tribute mine.
