HIKERS RAIDED
Asked to Show Marriage Lines , i A “vigilance patrol” of sixteen gendarmes has raided camps of week-end hikers on the banks o£ the Sazava and Berounka Rivers, near Prague, and demanded the production of marriage certificates. More than 200 charges have been laid by this patrol following their raids, and the Czecho-Slovakian Minister ot’ the Interior has now issued a decree forbidding hikers of both sexes to camp together in the open. This has caused great indignation., and a mass demonstration to uphold the rights of hikers is to be held in a few days time. About 150.000 open-air enthusiasts will take part.—Reuter.
