BY AIR TO THE CAPE
The new Imperial Airways route to the Cape will, be full of interest. For the time being passengers are not to be carried beyond Khartoum, but by degrees they will be carried to Uganda, Kenya, Tanganyika and South Africa. The very heart of the big game reserves will he crossed, and passengers will have the privilege of seeing wild animals in their natural surroundings. They will fly over sea. desert, mountains. lakes and much unexplored jungle. Guest-houses have had to be built and staffed in the most out-of-the-way places, and food and comfort will he of a high standard. By June the service will hare been extended to the Cape, and the fare will be £l3O from the Haymarket in London to Cape Town, including all meals. This journey will be eleven days shorter than the sea route, which costs from £9O to £lOO. The aerodrome at Juba is regularly visited by a huge elephant, who is quite placid during his friendly call 1
