COLLAPSE IN COURT

Mr. A. L. Monteith Faints SITTING ADJOURNED By Telegraph—Press Association. Christclpirch, July 7. There was a dramatic termination to this morning’s sitting in the Arbitration Court, when in the midst of a detailed discussion on heart disease and blood pressure, Mr. A. L. Monteith, employees’ assessor? fainted and collapsed in his chair. A claim for compensation was pro-

ceeding, and counsel was examining Dr. Hand Newton on the subject mentioned. The association of ideas caused much concern among those present for Mr, Monteith, but it turned out that he had merely been affected by the heat of the room, and he recovered in a few minutes after medical attention. The sitting was then adjourned till this afternoon.
